Our Vision

To use the numerous opportunities now available for communication and education to provide experientially based training and studies that build a new foundation of healthcare, providing people with viable choices which can replace unnecessary drugging, surgery or other invasive treatments. To help people know how spiritual, mental and emotional balances predispose them to physical disease and illness so as to take personal responsibility for their health and wellness. To empower individuals to be in charge of their life, their health and their healthcare decisions by becoming knowledgeable and experienced in recognizing and correcting personal imbalances or situations.

To consolidate the diverse fields of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (C.A.M.) approaches to provide an integrated scientific methodology which balances the health and wellness of human being at all four levels of consciousness: spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. To build and develop a new profession called “Complementary and Alternative Medicine Practitioner.”

Our Unique Approach

Pouring information into the mind without gaining personal experience is like pouring sugar in a bitter cup of coffee to sweeten it, yet not stirring it in; all the sugar falls to the bottom and the coffee is still bitter. At FICAM we take a scientific approach that asks our students to consider our classrooms as theirs, a laboratory to learn the tools and formulas of the science of healing the spirit, mind, emotions and body. Our methodology is to provide in-depth personal experience for the student to check how this knowledge works to develop an abundance of personal references of the benefits achieved and the strategy of how new abilities are developed.

The essential element of our training program is that each student goes through hundreds of hours of personal healing work directed by the schools founder, Brian Sheen, in classes, workshops, video and audio recordings, on-line video streaming and internet conferences. Each modality of transformational work will be directly experienced and then applied unto another, to build insight, confidence, perspective and competence in applying all which has been learned.

For a person with a priority for seeking deep personal healing for themselves, this is invaluable. Gaining the knowledge and abilities acquired through doing this program provides substantially more benefits than just being a “patient,” and provides greater depth, stability, knowledge, tools and understanding for helping oneself and others with this knowledge.

Our Intention

The intention of Florida Institute for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine is to utilize Complimentary and Alternative Medicine in a scientifically based context that acknowledges a human being as being a holistic system of body, mind, emotions and spirit. Florida ICAM acknowledges that all levels of existence have emerged from One initial substance. Whether it is called life, existence, consciousness, creative intelligence, God, or Spirit, it is this Source from which all fields of movement, energy and substance emerge, and existence is constructed from this essence.

Florida ICAM believes the labels or names that we give this intrinsic Source of Life is not important nor will it ever be agreed upon as to what the origin of this “substance” is. Florida ICAM accepts that there are many theories which can be expressed as to whether it is the big bang theory, creationism, or any other theory of the origin of the universe and what it is created from. This will always be debated and never fully agreed upon. However, Florida ICAM takes a phenomenological approach. We explore excellent scientific research which has regularly obtained results through using effective CAM technologies. This address a human being as the Knower of the mind, emotions and body, formed of the same one substance that creates the mind, emotions and body.

Brian Sheen has had many success stories using complementary and alternative medicine for a wide range of problems such as overcoming anxiety, thyroid problems, and depression.

Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine is a d/b/a of The Foundation for the Education and Evolution of Spirit F.R.E.E.S., aka The Quantum Healing Center, a non-profit corporation chartered in the State of Florida. The School is wholly owned and operated by F.R.E.E.S.

Florida Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine is licensed by the Florida commission for Independent Education (license no. 4013) and is able to offer diploma programs as a Complementary and Alternative Medicine Practitioner and/or a Clearminded Program Educator.
